Our Neighborhood

The Belvedere neighborhood is a diverse community located in the north central part of Baltimore City. As a residential area of over 500 homes, we share our prime location with schools, churches, small businesses, nonprofit organizations and a lively commercial district. Our neighborhood has the character of a village with residential sections surrounding the community-scaled commercial hub at the intersection of York Road and Belvedere Avenue.

Throughout the 18th and 19th centuries, the area was home to several estates owned by wealthy Baltimoreans.
As it redeveloped from farmland to commercial and residential properties, the 1939 Art Deco landmark  Senator Theatre and Belvedere Square were built.
